Good Luck!

Has there been a TV show or something recently about men getting facials at beauty salons, 'cause...?

... the salon where I work has been getting loads of guys coming in for them recently.

Up until the end of last month, I'd say we got maybe one guy a week having a facial. Then it suddenly jumped to three or four per *day*.

The weird thing is that a lot these new guys seem to think getting a facial should involve the beauty therapist (me) sitting on their face. Needless to say, that has not been a common request up 'til now :)Has there been a TV show or something recently about men getting facials at beauty salons, 'cause...?
Guy's have been getting facials for the last 10 years or so. Should you be asked the sit on my face question again say, ';Sure wait for me behind that door.'; Be sure to remove the,'; EXIT ONLY,'; sign though.Has there been a TV show or something recently about men getting facials at beauty salons, 'cause...?
Dont know....

But r u that hot ???

Are nail polish remover (stick your finger in) containers used at salons sanitary if used by multiple people?

My salon uses acetone polish remover. I overheard another customer talking that it wasn't sanitary to use the same container as other people. Acetone removes superglue, so what bugs are going to grow in acetone?????Are nail polish remover (stick your finger in) containers used at salons sanitary if used by multiple people?
Acetone kills germs %26amp; bacteria, no worries at all.

Did you ever wonder about how many nails one bottle of polish covers? Same thing, the chemicals in the polish kills germs %26amp; bacteria as well.

When you go to sit down you should see a container that contains impliments, those should contain some sort of santitizer as well. I wouldn't worry about the dangers unless you see the implaments sitting around on the table.

Good Luck,

Stylist %26amp; Manicurist of 9 yrs.Are nail polish remover (stick your finger in) containers used at salons sanitary if used by multiple people?
I don't see any way bacteria can grow in acetone. I wouldn't worry about it, unless you see somebody bleeding into it and you have a cut on your finger, but acetone is not a friendly environment to germs. And always wash your hands no matter what.
fungus is very common in nail salons. Most salons have a extra charge to get your own tools so no one else will use them but you. Now not all salons have this. My friend went to the nail salon all the time and she always used what everyone else used and got very nasty looking nails. They were sticking up and green and brown colored. If you go to a salon alot see if they can get you your own tool set. If not try to find another nail salon!
salons are good. trust me
i always use acetone to remove nail polish unless it comes off by itself. my mom said that if u use it too much, something bad will happen to ur nails i think. always wash ur hands after. u shouldn't think too much about anything bugs and stuff growing in the acetone. and don't let the acetone get on ur skin.good luck! i hope this helps.
I have no idea what acetone is or if it has any disinfecting properties, but even if it doesn't those things are gross and I wouldn't use them.

Just think how unsanitary EVERYTHING is in a salon. Make up...they use the same brushes and makeup on everyone...when is the last time you saw a hairdresser disinfect a hair brush? Please...especially at those cheap $10 hair cut places...talk about passing on lice or psoriasis or whatever. Gross, gross, gross...the less time I spend in places like that the better. I can do my own home treatments!!
acetone is like seriously acid so it basically sanitized and kills everything. I really doubt its unsanitary, probably just some old bitty tryin to start trouble.
probably none!
I don't think any bacteria or anything would survive in there. They use the same nail files on people, that concerns me.
It is fine, because it is topical. It is important that the other tools that could scrape your skin are sterilized.

  • Wat is the hair removal wax they use in the salons??

Wat is the wax they use in the salons?? brand/??

i want to buy some of the professional wax that they use. so if you know what they use culd you please tell me, also what is the cream they use before hand and after??? x xWat is the hair removal wax they use in the salons??
it is sugar wax. and there is no particular brandWat is the hair removal wax they use in the salons??
they are usually different brands that you most likly won't be able to buy online or at your local store because they are bought straight from the company in large qualities for bulk sale. you may find similar products are you local cvs or walgreens. also the cream after is normally a vasaline or something close to it. before they use a cooling lotion. Dove carries one that is very very similar.

i recommend that you don't wax your eyebrows yourself unless you have had prior experiance. it is VERY risky, you just just get a professional waxed once and groom in frequently.
Salons use hair removal brands like Gigi and Lorbette and Sugar Pro.

Virtually all salons use heated waxes with a wax warmer. Heated hair removal waxes are far more effective than no heat formulations.

Why do most nail salons have Asians as employees.?

please don't take this as racist. It's just an observation. Why do most nail salons have Asians as employees.?
well... because the owner is probably asian....and if you knew the difference between certain asians, you would know that they are vietnamese ,most of them in nail salons...but thats another subject i guess..Why do most nail salons have Asians as employees.?
I think many of them are also asian-owned, and most people (especially immigrants) try to employ friends %26amp; family.

Same with koreans and the black hair industry.
There are many nail technicians in china, so when they immigrate, people employ them.

Since they are asian and also newly immigrated, people pay them lower wages than they deserve.
    Because it pays well.
    lol

cos asians are good at nail art
because theyre used to wearing face masks
they have small hands a fingers...no joke
For the same reason you're racist!

Afro American Hair Salons in Germany?

    Hello,

I will be relocating to Germany and would be in need of a good black hair salon. A reputable one that takes care of the hair and does not just give me a style. I have close to shouldre lenght natural (no relaxor) hair. I usually wear it in double strand twist w/o weave. I don't prefer weave because it tends to cause more damage to my hair. Can anyone help please. I will be located in the Schweinfurt area, but will travel.

ThanksAfro American Hair Salons in Germany?
I am in Germany currently and contemplating a move here. The previous poster is pulling your leg, I think.

However, what does seem to be true is that there aren't very many places to get your hair done, here. Further there aren't many stores that offer boutique brand hair supplies (i.e. Curls, Carol's Daughter, Myhoneychild, etc.) and the products that I have seen aren't quality (i.e. they have petroleum etc. in them). I haven't seen many healthy heads of relaxed hair and besides braids, I haven't seen anyone other than myself wearing natural styles.

I think its telling that most of the ';afro'; salons have weave in the windows or their websites have pictures of white ladies getting extensions. If you are adventurous, you might try inquiring about the US military bases or in the larger cities. IF you are really willing to travel, I would suggest a plane trip to London. There are lots of salons there, I hear.

Where are the salons that braid and cornrow hair in Philadelphia PA.?

    Did men attend literary salons?

Looking particularly at 19th Century England, but also literary salons in general.

Was it forbidden, or merely uncommon?Did men attend literary salons?
Literary salons flourished mainly during the 18th century in France. they were usually run by a woman, but were open to both women and men. In 'the Cambridge Illustrated historyof France' colin Jones writes:

'One of the most famous salons was run by Madame Geoffrin on the fashinoable Rue Saint-Honore in paris, and was from the 1730s one of the most brilliant and renowned of literary salons. here artist and literati mingled with court nobles, igh state officials, wealthy bourgeoise and visiting dignitaries to discuss, to debate and to engage in polit social intercourse.

merit rather than birth was the key to admission to these gatherings; Madame Geoffrin famously turned down the marshal de Richelieu on the grounds of lack of distinction. Wit, urbanity, artistic ability and politesse ensured entree, not geneology. Madame Geoffrin's visitors were indeed highly distinguished; d'Alembert, Fontenelle, Montesquieu, Voltaire, Helvetius and Marmontel among the philosopjers, and, among the socially distinguished, Gustavus III of Sweden, the future Catherine th eGreat of Russia, and Stanislas Pontowski, former King of Poland.

The salon became an instrument of intellectual, and thereby political, power. It was said that to enter the Academie Francaise, for example, one had first to receive the approval of the salon of Madame de Lambert. Salons also had a powerful impact over public taste: Madame Geoffrin's salon was said to be important in winning critical acclaim for new artistic and literary works. The 'Czarina of paris' as she was called,w as thus an important disseminator of Enlightenment values and shaper of public opinion.

The influence of the salons was probably declining from the 1770s as new organs of sociability and opinion-forming developed (masonic lodges, clubs and so on). The dominance of women becazme a target of criticism. The salonnieres were seen as aristocratic bluestockings, who rendered politics and politicians effeminate. This misogynist attack was launched from within the Enlightenment. Writer and political theorist jean-jacques Rousseau's view, that women should be excluded from politics and should stay at home and bring up children, was influential right across the political spectrum. The ideology of ';seperate spheres'; would be taken further in the Revolutionary and Napoleonic periods.'Did men attend literary salons?
I'm actually writing a paper about 18th c. French salons, and men comprised most of the guests. Although the woman would lead the salon, many of the most intellectual salons had few female guests. This was different than in England, where the bluestocking gatherings (which is what the English salons were called) led by women such as Lady Montagu had more women members, but were still heavily patronized by men. My research ends in the 18th c., so sorry I can't help you with the 19th.
I'd say it was common, among a certain class of men. What would have been called the intelligentsia in Europe proper, educated and well enough born, but broke enough to appreciate free food and booze.

Men would have made up the large majority of authors and poets at the time. If anything I find the idea of them being forbidden or uncommon at a salon a bit comical. Mixed salons might have been a popular hobby of rich women, but they would have been populated by educated men and their celebrities would have been almost all men.

Several circles of such educated men dominated the politics and governments of England throughout the 19th centuries. Have you tried looking at the biographies of English political philosophers, such as John Stuart Mill? I can remember a group gathering around his mentor, as well as him in later years.

  • Best Promotions for Tanning Salons?

Do you own a tanning salon? What are some of your most successful promotional ideas? Any advice for getting more business?Best Promotions for Tanning Salons?
Hi. I do not own a tanning salon but I have a lot of experience in marketing. I advised a dry cleaning business owner on a promotional idea which may work for your business.

We calculated that, on average, a new customer would patronize his dry cleaner 7 times. So we devised a marketing campaign (postcard mailings) to attract new customers by offering to dry clean 1 article of clothing for free. We knew he would make his money back because of the repeat business.

You can implement a similar idea by offering a free tanning session for new customers with no strings attached. Schedule the tanning sessions when its not so busy. Post flyers in the local gyms, bars, etc., announcing your great value proposition.

Another promotional idea is referrals. If you are not already doing it, ask your existing customers to refer people. You can offer them an incentive by giving away 1 free tanning session for every person referred, provided that the person buys a tanning package.

I hope my ideas are useful. Good luck with your business.

How can i prevent getting skin cancer at tanning salons??

(;How can i prevent getting skin cancer at tanning salons??
Ultra Violet Rays are a powerful Oxident which causes oxidative stress and makes the free radicals to go crazy and they try to get into the center of your cells where your DNA reside. By simply loading up with the strongest Anti-Oxidents like blueberries, cranberries and Acai berries it will get into your cells in about 2 hours thus reducing the chance of getting skin cancer. This test was actually performed by Dr. Alex Schauss. It is easier if you just take a product like MonaVie that has it all in one bottle. Of course it would be better to juice all of these thing fresh everyday but I'm to lazy. Of course, always check with your doctor to see if you might have other risk factors as well. How can i prevent getting skin cancer at tanning salons??
Tanning and cancer risks inherently go together. It's kind of like asking how you can eat ice cream without gaining weight (only there are other dietary factors that would make that a bad analogy). The choice to go tanning means that you've decided that the risk of skin cancer isn't that important to you. Just be really observant of any changes in your skin color, texture, freckles, etc., and keep it well hydrated (good lotions, drink lots of water). If you see anything changing, go to a dermatologist ASAP.
Hi hello what ever may the type of cancer you have or need information about cancer you will fine all the solutions for that you are searching in this site, because i got many usefull informations from this site and it helped me to get well from my cancer, So go through this site to find your answers you need, stay in good health god bless you.
Um... don't tan. Tanning beds and outdoors are both dangerous. I know people don't like to be ';white'; they like to have a nice tan but do you want skin cancer too? I'm pasty white and I'm fine with it because I know that I'm at a lessor risk for developing skin cancer. Besides, have you ever seen a 40 year old women that has tanned the majority of her life? Their skin looks like leather and is very wrinkly. People need to stop worrying what people will think of their appearance. BE HAPPY WITH WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE!
    Not going there.

Why wont any salons do this for me?

I need my eyebrows lightened and they all are just like uh....sorry were to busy, or no we cant do thatWhy wont any salons do this for me?
Because it is not allowed by the laws in most states due to the risk. Each state's bar is different, but I know in most it is not allowed. Why wont any salons do this for me?
I am not sure why they wont do it for you. If you go to Sally's beauty supply you can pick up the stuff and do it yourself. You just have to be careful that you don't get it in your eyes.
because it's not a service they provide

It isn't the salon that you really need to look for, it's the hairdresser's talent. Styling hair isn't just a science, it's an art, and there are some stylists who simply have no artistic talent. Find someone whose hair you like and ask them who they go to. And make sure the stylist listens to what YOU want, and doesn't just do what they think is best.

  • High end salons in sacramento and san francisco?

Price doesnt matter. i have annoying hair that no one seems to be able to work with very well. i want someone that can actually do it. My husband comes home in 4 months so i would like to look goodHigh end salons in sacramento and san francisco?
    There are many options.

You seem to want a quality stylist rather than a high end salon.

Perception is the quality stylist is at the High end Salon.

Try Orlando at Orlando's West Palm Salon, in Granite Bay.

He is a stylist to the Stars, traveling back and forth to New York and all over the world. He does the styles of many of our local newscasters also. He is definitely one of the very best color stylists you will find and my very good friend.

Try Michael Joe at Michael Joe's in Sacramento, off Madison Ave.

He is a stylist to the local beauty queens. He specializes in wedding and special occasion style. He has Hair on Computer, so you can take your picture and see what different styles look like on you. He too, is my friend.

I do not know any more which are the currently famous or best salons in the bay area. I have no need with these two guys in our town.

    wow i highly doubt it

never been to hong kong but a need for a black hair care salon is not necessary out there. You need to google and search the local salons and figure out what they can do for your hair. You certainly have a mission on your hands. Because you should always go to a salon thats familiar with your hair type and you probably wont be able to do that

I'm so happy I'm natural and do my own hair and if I want to go to a salon I can go to any cause every salon knows how to blow dry straight and trim!Does any know of any black hair salons in Hong Kong?

Tanning Salons near Coleman Rd/Almaden Expressway?

I'm looking for tanning salons near the Blossom Hill/Almaden Expressway/Coleman Road area. Are there any that take walk-ins and don't require a membership? What are the costs per session?Tanning Salons near Coleman Rd/Almaden Expressway?
There is one that I used to go to that's called Australia Tan on Blossom Hill and Almaden across from Denny's. It's in the shopping center with Payless, Togo's, Baja Fresh, and Tap Plastics. I don't know what they charge per session anymore cause I haven't been there for a couple of years, but they have this kick a** booth that you go in for like 10 min and you are super tan. I used to have a membership for like $30 a month for unlimited. I think they were charging about $6-7 a session when I went there. I'm too poor to tan anymore with 2 kids!!!!

What are the cheapest tanning salons in las vegas?

People mistakenly see a tan as a sign of health when it is actually a sign of damage to the skin.

Here's a world health report on tanning beds:

The World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) had earlier classified tanning beds as “probably carcinogenic to humans” but has increased the warning to “carcinogenic to humans,” which is its highest cancer risk category.

The July 28, 2009 WebMD article “WHO: Tanning Beds Cause Cancer” states that “Indoor Tanning Causes Melanoma.”

Tanning beds also go by such names as sunbeds, tanning booths, tanning sytems, and others.

Dr. Vincent Cogliano, a scientist with WHO’s IARC, stated that the organization raised the warning level of tanning beds because “... the scientific evidence linking indoor tanning to the deadly skin cancer melanoma [is] ‘sufficient and compelling.’” [WebMD]

Over ten years of research concerning the use of tanning beds has provided a comprehensive amount of evidence that the use of tanning beds is dangerous. Dr. Cogliano adds, “People mistakenly see a tan as a sign of health when it is actually a sign of damage to the skin.” [WebMD]

Specifically, the decision was made after many scientific reports came out that found teenagers and young adults who used tanning beds increased their risk of developing melanoma by 75%.

In fact, any person using tanning beds before the age of 30 years has a 75% increased risk of getting the deadly form of cancer called melanoma.

Call you local chapter of the American Cancer Society, or your a hospital near you with a cancer care center - they will be able to put you in touch with the right people.Does anyone know of any salons in las vegas that cuts for locks of love?
any salon can cut your hair. all you need to do is tell them that you're donating your hair. then, tie it in a ponytail or braid it and have the person cut ABOVE the hair tie to get the required length. from then on proceed with the hair cut as usual.then, take the hair home with you, put it in an envelope, and send it in. they have all the mailing info on their website, www.locksoflove.org

PS. when you go to the salon, if you have them wash your hair and then cut it, make sure the hair is COMPLETELY dry before you send it inDoes anyone know of any salons in las vegas that cuts for locks of love?
go to www.locksoflove.com they have a list of hair salons, but also do mention that most salons can cut your hair. They recommend that you have a minimum of ten inches, braided or in a pony tail. The hair must not touch the ground, and needs to be placed and sealed in a plastic bag. The address to where it can be sent is on the website and you can even get a certificate for donating. Its a rewarding experience!

    No, mostly just

    dolly shoes

or sensible shoes no heels but

    cool shoes
depends on the salon. depends on its vibe and feel. alot of salons are fashion forward, so i'd say in general, no.

    u can buy it.
Hi you can get it every where nealy every brand that makes a hair product makes hair serum even tesco and asda do there own brand of it which is as good as the dearer makes and is less that half price of the brand ones.

I use avons as it the only one that leaves my hair soft and not greasy like the john freda ones, so I would recommend stay away from frizz ease it doesnt work at all and actually makes hair dryer where other ones have ingredients that strenghten the hair

Does facials (in salons) really improve your skin?

I have mild-moderate acne and a alot of blackhead due to oily skin from stress. My face has been looking ';dirty lately'; b/c of the increase in oil production. I heard that facials cleans up your face and your skin will look prettier? Is this true? B/c I am interested getting regular facials..since I'm always at home trying to clean my blackheads..And how often should I go?Does facials (in salons) really improve your skin?
it depends on what kind of facial you get. if you get an extraction facial it will reduce the amount of new acne you get. you have to keep getting them for maintenance. if you have a low threshold for pain you might want to ask what you can do before to help lessen the pain.Does facials (in salons) really improve your skin?
There isn't anything at the salon that you can't do on your own. Sounds like all you need is proactive, thier re-fining mask is excellent.
OH YEAH they do work i used to have really bad skin and then i did facials once a week and my skin is clean and pretty :) i will do it once a week will regular cleaning at hope
ahhh yes. They make your face feel all tingling and fresh too! It probably won't completely get rid of your acne though hon:-( Trust me--it will go away as you get older. It will....
Personally facials are not worth the money i use to have skin like yours with blackheads and red pimples etc but now I only have like 9 pimples on my face that ae going to be gone very soon and only bcuz i used something called proactiv. It really works especially the refining mask. The refining mask is like a facial except works better and u can see and feel the difference in your skin.

It really works try it and to hear life stories go to

    www.proactivsolution.ca

    hope this helps
From my expirience with salon facials.. I dont think they're really that good.

At home facials are just as good.

    (:
yes. But it depends on which beauty salon u go. They will normally check your skin condition, follow by intro u the treatment that suitable for you. from there, they will further analyze and understand more you skin condition( during the facial itself). They will also introduce you the suitable product for home-care. During facial, they will extract out those white/black heads, then put on a mask to calm it down. Or which ever mask that is good for you.

In here , i recommend you to go to salons that is using Dermalogica product. ( im using it). You can go to the Leonard Drake ( but more expensive)...

Normal routine for facial is every 3 weeks, but depends on skin condition, some may have to go every 2 weeks.
    honestly i dont think so.

ive had plenty facials and none helped my acne.

Anyone find beauty salons slightly intimidating?

I (and my best friend) think that beauty salons can be slightly intimidating.

Maybe it's the slightly ';medical'; feel of the uniforms, or the fact that the staff always seem to look better than you do, or maybe it's just the fact that you have to be half-naked (or even totally naked) there :)

Does anyone else feel like that?Anyone find beauty salons slightly intimidating?
The staff at beauty salons try on purpose to intimidate you. First off, many of their regular clientelle are intimidating themselves--rich housewifes with nothing much to do but get their hair and nails done. So the staff tries to come across as sophisticated and beautiful in order for you to feel that they are worth all the money they are going to charge you.

It may make you feel a little more comfortable if you try to keep in mind that typically the staff has little more than a high school diploma and then beauty school education. They are not necessarily intelligent, but rather trade educated. (Hopefully.) And they are not necessarily well-paid. And we all know that tons of makeup and perfectly coiffed hair can turn even the most homely girl into a ';Cosmo Girl';. So you and your friend should hold your heads high. Behind all the lipstick and perfume is really just normal women trying their best to look their best. And lastly, if you are friendly with them and they just won't let their guard down, I would suggest going somewhere else. You're paying money for the service--it should be a comfortable experience where you can speak freely about the services you expect and enjoy yourself. (P.S. My mother was a hairdresser-I speak from experience.)Anyone find beauty salons slightly intimidating?
    No.
When I go to a new beauty salon I do feel a bit apprehensive.

They never do my hair the way I want, they start cutting etc then go out for lunch or something and I just don't like that. I now have a great Beautician and I pray she will live forever!
Why would you have to be naked at a salon...? What kind of salon are you going to...

Maybe you should go to a HAIR salon... try that.
    no i dont
Of course they seem intimidating, I would recomend that your friend and yourself go together to take the edge off.
Yes, they can be! Especially high-end ones because you walk in and its like everybody immediatly looks at you! Its like your being judged on how you look coming in. You kind of question what they are thinking! They could not be thinking anything, or they could be thinking ';Wow, that person looks horrible--they need to be fixed up';! LOL! I'm sure thats not always the case, but sometimes some salons can really make you feel that way!
Nope i don't feel intimidating at all. I feel good about myself and am not self conscious. I am a very confident person so someone looking better than me doesn't intimidate me i say more power to them. We can't control our face/body features but we can try to make it look better by taking good care of our bodies and self.

some of them spray tans look nice when they get the 'natural' look

but some people just turn out orange again and again...you think they would get the idea they look retarded but they go back for more... i dont get it at all they look worse!
Personally i like the white than the tanned one, coz i'm already tan. Of course i can say orangutan, its my local fauna here, orang means person, utan means jungle...if you care.
the orange color is usually the result of a bad spray tan...the tanning beds make you brown...
I go to tanning salons. I don't think orange is an attractive color. I don't come out orange...
    no sky blue is attractive colour my dear'; chimpancy';

It makes me laugh when they come out orange, their own fault! And yes I can say orangutan why do you ask!? x

Are the UV lamps used in nail salons dangerous?

During my last manicure the nail tech painted a clear coat on my nails then told me to put my hands inside an enclosed lamp. I read ';UV'; on the side. The light was blue. After 2 minutes the light went off automatically and he wiped my nails with a cotton ball soaked in something. It made my nails super-shiney, but now I'm worried about the UV exposure. Are the UV lamps used in nail salons dangerous?
    don't worry

it sets up your nails, and the stuff they use. if it wasn't safe millions of people would be affected. Are the UV lamps used in nail salons dangerous?
in theory if you get your nails dont once a week for your whole life the UV lights in a nail salon still will not harn you. so you dont have anything to worry about
I think it's UV-b that causes cancer, but I can't say for sure on that one.
no, they are designed to prevent bubbles from appearing on your nail color

  • If uni means one, why is it that unisex salons cater for two genders???

Uni does mean one, but when doubled with another word it indicates the item in question as opposed to the users. Such as a Unisex Salon. The salon is singular (one) and it is where both sexes can go for the same services. See what I mean here? Same goes with unisex restroom....both sexes can use this facility for the same purpose. If uni means one, why is it that unisex salons cater for two genders???
one as in one sex. not two different ones. there is no discrimination between sexes as in they are 'one'If uni means one, why is it that unisex salons cater for two genders???
If uni meant one then you would be right. However think about words like unification, or universal, unison. All of these involve more than one part. So a unisex bathroom would mean that it would be for more than one part or gender in this case.

ok i ust asked another question similar to this but i 4got some stuff,

how does the process of deep conditioning like happen?

    please answer and thanks!!

if you get them,do they only last for a while?or do they last a long time?

    and

is there anything i should know about them or anything i should ask for when i get it done?Deep conditioning at salons question?
How does the process of it happen?

I'm not really sure, haha. But I believe that the formula they put it in your hair, it kind of feels like lotion/conditioner, moisturizes your hair, leaving it soft and smooth.

Um... I think it would depend. The one I got... only lasted awhile, but that's because I damage my hair on a daily basis, so... XD

That's a question you should ask your hairstylist when you go and get it done. :)

And like what other people said, you can do them at home. They sell a bunch of them out there, but my favorite place to buy hair-related-things is Sally's Beauty Supply. Go to your local store and ask the store clerk about them if you need to.Deep conditioning at salons question?

You can easily just do this at home.

They sell deep conditioners. You use them once or twice a week.

All you do is apply it to the hair and leave it on for a certain amount of time, wash it out, and that's it. It will ';last'; for however long it will, depending on how you style your hair throughout the week.
There are these conditioning masks (deep conditioning) you can find at supermarkets only costing 99p, they work as good as a salons.

    They don't really 'influence' me because I usually cut my hair at home, and I'm not a proffesional, but I can list a few famous/well known ones;

    Toni and Guy

    Vidal Sassoon

    David Babaii

    Julius Caruso

    Jose Eber

    John Frieda

    Anthony Mascolo

    Daniel Galvin

    How do Tanning Salons work?

    .How do Tanning Salons work?
Well, you go in and tell the worker you want to tan

They ask what bed, usually you say the basic bed.

Then they ask you what time- like 10 to 20 min.

Then you pay. (they try to sell you lotion too)

Then you go in the room they tell you to,

    take all your clothes off,

    put on your lotion,

    turn on the radio,

jump in the bed on your back and start the bed.

And put on eyewear! DONT open eyes!

Then when the bed shuts off, get up and get dressed

and leave. How do Tanning Salons work?
You go into this giant tanning bed, where you are put under harmful UV rays. Then you come out tanner, and with a 75% more chance to get skin cancer.

About how much is it to do (1)acrylic nails (2)pedicure in the mall salons?

Alot depemds on where you are going. I have paid anywhere from 20 dollars to 45 dollars for acrylic nails. I pay more when I am at home in Northern Virginia and less when I am at school in West Virginia. The most Ive ever paid for a pedicure was 30 dollars. Hoever if you are going to a top name salon like Elizabeth Arden Red Door or The Ritz Carlton you may pay twice that amount. Call and inquire about their prices and ask around. You don't want to pay alot for a bad set of nails!About how much is it to do (1)acrylic nails (2)pedicure in the mall salons?

I would think that any hair salon could do extensions that are black. You could just go in a salon and ask, and if that salon doesn't, they might know one that does.

to tell you the truth, just because you're african american doesn't mean you havet to go to an african american salon. any salon can tend to you. is that kind of segregating other races ? how come white, asian, or hispanic can't go to african american salons??????? think about it.......... go to a regular salon it's not that hard!

Long lines, trains, stop lights, post offices, gas pumps, barber shop, beauty salons, grocery stores and so on?

do you find having to wait mildly annoying, quite irritable, or down right destestable?Long lines, trains, stop lights, post offices, gas pumps, barber shop, beauty salons, grocery stores and so on?
First of all I practice leaving the house early so that if I should run into a circumstance which causes a delay, I will still be able to get to work or that dentist appointment on time.

I actually like to wait. It gives me time to prepare myself for speaking with the doctor, or post office clerk, or whomever, so that I remember to ask all the right questions. Waiting in a long line is a perfect opportunity to ';people watch'; I do not mind waiting for trains, gas pumps, or stop lights either. I use that extra time to plan grocery lists, remember the words to a favorite old song, or figure out how I can be of help to a friend.

Why are we all in such a hurry? Will it make the train go faster or the guy in front of us at the gas pump move quicker, if we drum our fingers, hold our breath, and cause our blood pressure to go up? Just chill out! Take a few deep breaths and exhale slowly.......We will get there in a much better mood if we just ';let it all go'; and relax a little.Long lines, trains, stop lights, post offices, gas pumps, barber shop, beauty salons, grocery stores and so on?

Well you could try survey sites. They've worked for me. I review some survey sites to make money that have worked for me at http://cashtutor.blogspot.com What you have to do is complete surveys and offers for companies that want the public's opinion. By doing this, you are able to earn money very easily for simply giving your opinion or trying out sample products. This is a great service that allows one to work from home, on their spare time, at their leisure, and still bring in a nice sum of money every month. People have made up to $1000 easily on this site by just working on it in their spare time. It is not going to replace a real job's salary, but it is a very nice bonus. There are also many features on these web site, such as contests and special surveys, from which you can redeem extra prizes that would be sent to you with your monthly cheque, such as iPods, Xbox 360s, PSPs, digital cameras, gift certificates, and much more.

Cheques are sent monthly, and usually arrive about a week or a week and a half into the next month. No payment from you is ever required, not to sign up, not EVER. Unlike other sites that try to scam people out of their money, these sites never requires you to pay them.

';If the site doesn't get paid from me, then why would they have this service going?'; - The sites don't get paid directly from you, but when you complete an offer or survey, they also get paid a small portion of what you earned yourself. For example, if you complete a survey about computers let's say, you would earn maybe $2 and the web site itself would recieve $0.50 from the company also for getting you to complete the survey. These surveys take little time at all, most taking up less than even 1 or 2 minutes of your time.

Fraud is also a big deal on the Internet these days, and this site recognizes that. That is why they ask for ONLY three bits of information: Your name, email address and your home address. Yup, that is all. No credit card information, no banking information, nothing like that. All they require is your name and address so that your cheque can be sent to your home every month. Your email address is only required to confirm that you have done the offers and surveys. Fortunately, no spam mail or junk mail is ever sent out by this site and your information is never shared with any other company.

Personally I have been a member of these websites, along with thousands of other satisfied users, for approximately 1.5 years now and have earned well over $8600 by working in my spare time. This web site has been great to me, also the members and administrator are very friendly, and are always there to help you with a question or problem you may be having. So far, I've listed only positives about this site, because I can't think of a single negative thing about it. Earn money in your spare time, at no cost to you...Easy as that! I give you my word that they pay.

email me at lancesurveys@hotmail.com if you have any questions

p.s half the answers you were givens are scams awsurveys, snapdollars, etc. don't worry i deleted most of them

Hi some salons will mail the hair for you and give a discounted hair cut. I just donted my hair at Deana Barra on 5th ave in Hillcrest 92103. If you call them ask for Peter - a stylist totally willing to cut and send the hair for you. plus he is probably the best stylist i have been to in a while.

    good luck.
I sent my hair to locks of love a few years ago and all the salons I checked out didn't give a discount... or send it in. Once they had cut it they put it in a ziploc bag and gave it to me and finished cutting my hair. then I had to send it in!

Are there any beauty salons that will perform the MALE equivalent of a ';bikini wax';?

i.e. removing the hair from the male pubic region? Are there any beauty salons that will perform the MALE equivalent of a ';bikini wax';?
Yes try the spas they are very discreet men and women both can go. your in a private room and you can have what every your heart desires to be done. Are there any beauty salons that will perform the MALE equivalent of a ';bikini wax';?
    ouch
They don't discriminate. Be sure you wear high cut underwear. They don't do nude.
Yeah.. you have to call around though... where do you live.. that would be helpful... in my city we have a Male geared salon that does that..
    EWE!
Naked balls? So unattractive. You'll look like you're 5.
Dude, that would look weird. I wouldnt do it
I would think any salon would provide this service. Anyone can be waxed, they do not use special equiptment for a male or anything, same kind of hair, same wax. Call around in your area, that way you can maintain annonymity if you are feeling shy. Good luck!

Why do black women go to hair salons?

if you know damn well you don't have real long hair like mine, its so ridiculous when they go in with their short hair asking to have a style for women who have long hair, don't you know you cant? unless you glue your weaves onWhy do black women go to hair salons?
They go to the hair salon for the same reason you go. And you don't go to a hair salon only when you have long hair. Why do black women go to hair salons?
Maybelle Jo Hundley, you my dear will loose all your hair in seven and one half months. I just put a wammy on that stringy crap.

I will take the wammy off if you print a retraction here and apologize to the folks you may have offended here.
Why do I get the feeling you're a fat, dumb, ugly redneck?
Is that the best you can do?

    Troll score: 2/10
why do YOU sit on here on a saturday night asking racist questions?
Here we go again! These type of questions make me sleepy. Good night!
Stop hating. And don't choose to be a comedian, you will starve.
You are such an amateur troll
A woman doesn't have to have long hair to go to the beauty parlor. Stop with your racist remarks already and grow the eff up! Hair salons are for anyone dummy! BTW - I do my own hair.

Umm I don't think age matters
16 to 18 years old is usually the comfortable minimum for Salons. The best way to find out is by visiting the Salon of you choice. or accompanied by an adult some place s do mind waxing clients that are young (pre teen) I tell you from experience
well personally i think anyone under 13 shouldnt really be able to do that cuz i mean 13!! but i think they let you whenever as long as your not like 3 which i doubt ;]

you could always call places and ask i'm sure they will tell you

    What Salons do Scene/Emo hair?

I want to get either those scene stripes or those scene leapord dots in my hair. Which salons do that kind of stuff?

How much money? What Salons do Scene/Emo hair?
veary expesive but most aveda salons do it

actually most salons do itWhat Salons do Scene/Emo hair?
There aren't any specific salons in general. It'd probably be a good idea to just print a good, clear picture of the kind of hair colors/style that you want and just bring it to a local salon. The scene/emo hairstyles take more time, as they're not as simple as plain highlights/coloring, so it will be considerably expensive.
those scene stripes are called coon tails. you can do them urself they are pretty easy. it wont be too hard. but you could get it done at a salon im sure. if you have a hair dresser show them a pic or they might know of ';coon tails'; and they can do them. i dont really know of the leapord patterns in hair. i mean i know what they are but i dont know how to do them so they come out good. you can always ask ur hairdresser person tho. never hurts to try. hope ur hair looks good when u do it. they are normally quite cute.

    http://celebrity.ndk.vn/2009/04/long-coon-tail-scene-hairstyles.html
You can do them at home, if you wanna know how, just shoot me an e-mail :D
    they do it at Fags-R-Us.
