a body/wave perm is one that doesn't really add curl, but more waves..or really really lose curls. it's supposed to give hella straight hair a bit of curl to it.

So the other day i was getting my hair done and a salon and it was like packed with women, no male inhabitants, well, except for 2 who worked for them doing hair. All of a sudden, my middle-aged father comes in to see if i was almost done and a the female clerk person told him to please exit the building because it ';upsets the women.'; So he looks kinda embarrassed and is ushered out the door and waits in the car. DONT DO IT!!! I had one at the best place in Savannah Georgia. It doesnt matter where you get one done, it will FRY your hair. I got mine done 2 years ago and I am STILL dealing with the damage. Your hair will be breaking and it will be stringy and it is just terrible. My advice is to get a good straightner with a high heat option. Also buy some heat protectant. After a couple months your hair will begin to go straight. trust me. after my chemical straightner, my hair started going curly again and i started doing that. Hope this has been helpful!

the reason is that there are mostly chinese and vietnamese nail shops is because NOT all them go to school....they are pretty much a family based salon so the person that owns the shop teaches their family members on how to do nails....And they are a dime a dozen....The majority of them are illegal and they are using illegal items that contain MMA. but because they are so cheap with their prices and they are fast...so alot of ppl cater to them just for that reason instead of going to a nail tech that is qualified and uses safe product....quality or quanity!!!!Why are there only Chinese nail salons?

I will be relocating to Germany and would be in need of a good black hair salon. A reputable one that takes care of the hair and does not just give me a style. I have close to shouldre lenght natural (no relaxor) hair. I usually wear it in double strand twist w/o weave. I don't prefer weave because it tends to cause more damage to my hair. Can anyone help please. I will be located in the Schweinfurt area, but will travel.

People who shampoo are not just shampoo assistants lol, they are general assistants, who clean and such, but each salon is different, but they shampoo clients' hair.

I responded to your previous q about relaxer. Sorry, I did not get the relaxer part. And you do not allow e-mail, so I am happy to find a similar q. I personally went into a salon in the Langemarckstrasse to ask about the relaxer, and the hairdresser confirmed that they do have it. There are Africans from Ghana (mainly), Togo, Benin, Cameroon, Congo, Niger and Nigeria to name a few. There are also a few Gospel Churches for the African community here in Bremen.

never been to hong kong but a need for a black hair care salon is not necessary out there. You need to google and search the local salons and figure out what they can do for your hair. You certainly have a mission on your hands. Because you should always go to a salon thats familiar with your hair type and you probably wont be able to do that
I'm so happy I'm natural and do my own hair and if I want to go to a salon I can go to any cause every salon knows how to blow dry straight and trim!

I don't know what they charge per session anymore cause I haven't been there for a couple of years, but they have this kick a** booth that you go in for like 10 min and you are super tan. I used to have a membership for like $30 a month for unlimited. I think they were charging about $6-7 a session when I went there. I'm too poor to tan anymore with 2 kids!!!!

Also in Walnut Creek there is a hair salon called Phoenix...I prefer it more than victoria's, but victoria's is way closer. Oh and for the price, they are a bit pricy, but not overly expensive. unless you're talking about the spray on/mist tanners, they lied.
and even those don't protect you completely, what it does is take away the harshness that sitting in a tanning bed can do to you. but if you're talking about sitting in a tanning bed and using the tanning lotion that they supply, then that's worse. most tanning creams have an spf of 4 or less. take care of your skin and stick to the sunless tan lotions with an spf of 15 or higher.

We all know the lecture that tanning is bad for you and so forth so forth. But I tan once a week and in order to do anything for my skin I'm really picky about the lotions I use. Some of them do offer UV protection you just have to carefully read the labels and pick which one you think meets your needs.
Some indoor tanning lotions do have spf in them. They say it on the label on the bottle of lotion. But most indoor tanning lotions do not have spf. So if they told you that your indoor tanning lotion has some spf, then they may be correct. So you need to look. But the spf is going to be low because the idea is to let the uv penetrate your skin so you can get your base tan started, and then get tan from there. Ask the salon you bought the lotion from what spf level you have. Conversely, if you are using a spray tan in a can, or a spray booth, they pretty much never have spf in the solution, and they will not protect you from uv rays.

We all know the lecture that tanning is bad for you and so forth so forth. But I tan once a week and in order to do anything for my skin I'm really picky about the lotions I use. Some of them do offer UV protection you just have to carefully read the labels and pick which one you think meets your needs.
Some indoor tanning lotions do have spf in them. They say it on the label on the bottle of lotion. But most indoor tanning lotions do not have spf. So if they told you that your indoor tanning lotion has some spf, then they may be correct. So you need to look. But the spf is going to be low because the idea is to let the uv penetrate your skin so you can get your base tan started, and then get tan from there. Ask the salon you bought the lotion from what spf level you have. Conversely, if you are using a spray tan in a can, or a spray booth, they pretty much never have spf in the solution, and they will not protect you from uv rays.

I don't think so, it really depends on the stylist, you definitely need to take a look at the stylist and see if they take care of themselves. A while back, I used to go to Regis Salon because the girls there did a great job with my hair, although very stuck up, then I went to another Regis Salon in another mall, and that lady butchered my hair real bad. I prefer salons that are in strip malls because they tend to have more selections in products and services like spa treatments and waxing services, plus parking is a plus, unlike the mall. But a friend of mine for a long time, works at an 8.00/haircut salon with her mom, and she does such a phenominal job on my hair all of the time. She gets all of business now. So you can even find great stylists at cheap salons, you just have to look and be very versatile with your hair. dont know, but I have a friend whoes hair got butchered by one of the salons in the mall. they're all different, though.
the salons in the mall is not really better than the outside hair salon . because the people that do hair on there own work much more harder because they want you to come back.
No I think so..they are over priced and I have not had very good luck with them..the best way to find a good salon is when you see someone with a good style or color ask them where they get their hair done..I did and I'm very happy with my hair dresser.
in my experience, they`re usually worse, but it depends on the individual stylist, not the place...

How much do salons charge for a full head of weave?
Depends on what salon. If you go to someone who is really good (which you want) someone who can make your hair grow, and use weaving methods that look good and natural not bulky and cheap, you are honestly looking at anywhere between 450 dollar to 2000 thousand dollars. You just gotta go down the list and call a ton of shops to make sure who is right for you. Also, see about maybe getting free consultations so you can see some of their work.
