Take your own tools...you can go to Sally Beauty and buy your own set of tools, that you take home each time and sanitize.
Look for salons that use liners in their foot baths, and do not get a pedicure from one of the foot spas with jets...very bad for bacteria, etc., if they don't keep the jets and filters cleaned.
